Terms & Conditions
Welcome to Ponder. These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Ponder mobile app, web app, website, and related services (together, "the Service"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use Ponder.
The short version
Free until 1 December 2026, then $4.99/month or $49.90/year — cancel anytime, no lock-in contracts.
Your CPD content is yours. We never sell it and never use it to train AI models.
No identifiable client information, ever — see Section 2 for exactly what that covers.
A lapsed payment pauses your account, not your data. See Section 5 for exactly how this works.
Governed by the laws of Western Australia.
This summary is a guide only. The full Terms below set out our complete agreement and apply in all cases.

Who we are
Ponder is operated by PONDERCPD PTY LTD (ABN 54 693 746 422, ACN 693 746 422), trading as Ponder ("we", "our", "us"). Our contact email is support@pondercpd.com. Ponder is built and hosted in Australia.
Eligibility and use of the Service
The Service is designed for registered and provisionally registered psychologists in Australia, aged 18 or over, to plan, record, and export Continuing Professional Development ("CPD") activities.
You are responsible for ensuring the accuracy and completeness of your CPD records and for meeting the professional standards set by the Psychology Board of Australia (PsyBA).
When using Ponder, you agree that you will:
Use the platform only for lawful and professional purposes.
Enter only non-identifiable, professional development-related information.
Maintain confidentiality and comply with your professional and ethical obligations.
You must not:
Enter, upload, or store identifiable client information, including client names, dates of birth, addresses, contact details, or case or file numbers.
Upload confidential or sensitive client materials.
Attempt to copy, reverse-engineer, or gain unauthorised access to the Service.
Use the Service to distribute malware, spam, or unlawful content.
When recording supervision notes or reflections, you must use pseudonyms, initials, or non-identifiable information only.
Entering identifiable client information into Ponder is a serious breach of these Terms. We accept no responsibility or liability for any client information entered in breach of this clause, and we may remove the relevant content or suspend or terminate your account if it occurs.
Ponder is a tool to assist with CPD planning and logging. It does not provide professional advice or guarantee regulatory compliance. Psychologists remain responsible for ensuring their own CPD activities and records meet PsyBA requirements.
Accounts and security
You must provide accurate information when creating an account and keep your login credentials secure.
You are responsible for all activity under your account.
If you suspect unauthorised access or any breach of security, please notify us immediately at support@pondercpd.com.
Subscriptions, free access, and payments
Ponder is free to use until 1 December 2026. You'll need to provide payment details to create an account, but you will not be charged anything before this date.
From 1 December 2026, continued access requires an active paid subscription, billed at $4.99 per month or $49.90 per year (your choice), charged automatically to the payment details on file unless you cancel beforehand.
We will email you reminders ahead of your first charge so you have a clear opportunity to review your plan or cancel before anything is billed.
Payments are processed securely through third-party providers such as Stripe, Apple App Store, or Google Play. Ponder does not store your payment details.
Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period unless cancelled before the renewal date. We will always notify you of upcoming renewals or pricing changes with reasonable advance notice before they take effect.
You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period — there are no lock-in contracts and no early termination fees.
Refunds are handled in accordance with Australian Consumer Law.
Data ownership and use
You own all CPD content and data that you upload to Ponder. By using the Service, you grant us a limited licence to store, process, and back up your data solely for the purpose of operating and improving the Service.
Your data is hosted securely in Australia.
If your payment lapses or your subscription isn't renewed
Your account is paused, not deleted. Your CPD data is retained in full and your access is restored as soon as your payment details are updated. If an account remains unpaid and inactive for 12 consecutive months, we'll treat it the same way as an account deletion request, below.
If you ask us to delete your account
You can export a full copy of your CPD records at any time from within the app, for as long as your account remains active. Exporting your records before deletion is your responsibility — we don't generate or send this export on your behalf.
We'll send reminder emails on day 1, day 15, and day 28 after your deletion request, so you have every reasonable opportunity to export your data before it's removed.
Thirty (30) days after your deletion request, your account and all associated data will be permanently deleted, except where retention is required by law (for example, financial records we must keep for tax purposes — this never includes your CPD content).
Privacy
Your privacy matters to us. Our Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and how we protect it. By using Ponder, you consent to that policy.
Our Privacy Policy forms part of these Terms. A breach of the Privacy Policy may also be considered a breach of these Terms.
Intellectual property
All software, design, text, graphics, logos, and other materials in the Service are the property of PONDERCPD PTY LTD (trading as Ponder) or its licensors.
You may not reproduce, modify, distribute, or create derivative works from any part of Ponder without our prior written consent.
Service availability and changes
We aim to provide reliable and secure access to Ponder but do not guarantee uninterrupted service.
Downtime, maintenance, or third-party service outages (e.g., hosting or payment providers) may occasionally affect availability. We are not liable for interruptions beyond our reasonable control.
We may update, modify, or discontinue features from time to time to improve the Service. If a change materially reduces the core functionality you're paying for, we'll give you reasonable advance notice by email or in-app, and you may cancel your subscription and receive a pro-rata refund for the unused portion of your current billing period if you'd prefer not to continue.
Limitation of liability
Ponder is provided on an "as is" basis.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential loss — including loss of data, revenue, or failure to meet professional requirements — arising from your use of the Service.
Nothing in these Terms limits your rights under Australian Consumer Law.
Termination
You may stop using Ponder at any time through your account settings.
We may suspend or terminate access if you:
Breach these Terms;
Misuse the Service; or
Are required by law to cease access.
Upon termination, your data will be handled in accordance with Section 5 (Data Ownership and Use).
Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Western Australia. Any disputes will be heard in the courts of that jurisdiction.
